Leveda Carter - Classical
(A.R.A.D)
Leveda trained at the Scully Borovansky School in Sydney as a full time student completing Advance R.A.D. exam. She then spent five years overseas in London, Paris and New York studying under many world recognised teachers. She danced professionally in a Paris-based company that toured Europe.
On returning to Australia, she taught for many of Sydney's full-time schools, then eventually opened her own school in Balmain which has since moved to Annandale. The Balmain Dance Academy has been operating for over twenty years.
She has taught many people who have gone onto dance professionally, the most recent of which is currently part of the Stuttgart Company in Germany.
Dell Brady - Classical
(B.A, A.R.A.D)
Dell Brady studied ballet with Phyllis Bedells (one of the founders of the RAD) and at the Royal Ballet School, London. Her professional career was spent dancing with The English National Ballet, The New Zealand Ballet and The Australian Ballet. After retiring from performing, she went on the establish her own ballet school in Canberra.
Since 1996 she has lived in Sydney gaining a Bachelor of Arts from Sydney University; her association with the dance world continues with adjudication at eisteddfods and as a freelance teacher. She is on the committee for the Society of Dance Arts (SODA), which organises and raises the money for a major dance scholarship held every year in Sydney.
Kay has been teaching at Balmain Dance Academy since 1997. She graduated from West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 1988. Since moving to Sydney in 1989, Kay has worked professionally as a dancer and actor in theatre, film, television, theatre-in-education, corporate theatre and street theatre. She is a prolific and committed member of the NSW independent dance community.
She has choreographed numerious works which have been seen in solo productions, festivals, schools, film and street theatre. Her work has toured in New South Wales, regional NSW, interstate and overseas.
She has a long-standing relationship with One Extra Dance Company, performing with them originally in 1990, then most recently returning in 2000 as an affiliated artist. In 2004 she was awarded the prestigious Robert Helmann Scholarship and travelled overseas participating in workshops and choreographic laboritories in Italy, Brussels, Amsterdam, England and France.
Kay's teaching credits include: B.A. Dance course at UWS Nepean, B.A. Dance course at UNSW, Ausdance Professional Contemporary Classes, Sydney North Dance Camp Sydney Dance Company - Community Classes, Actors College of Theatre and Televsion Casula Power House Youth Theatre, Chechetti Summer School, ATYP, State Dance Festival Brent Street, Dynamite Dance Studios, Woolahra Academy of Dance.
Kelly-Ann Palmer - Modern / Tap
(RADTC AISTD)
Kelly-Ann was trained in all facets of dance at Langshaw Dancity and attended The McDonald College School of Performing Arts. She worked in film and television from a young age and continued into her commercial career after completing her studies. Kelly-Ann worked as a dancer in Japan, Korea, Spain and Portugal. She continued her studies in London and passed her Associate Exam with the Imperial Society with Honors.
Her teaching experience includes preparing candidates for both RAD and ISTD exams and assessments. She has taught in holiday programs throughout NSW and held the position of Modern and Jazz teacher for Scecgs Redlands for 9 yrs.
In 2005 Kelly completed her RAD Teaching certificate with Distinction.
Siobhan Ginty has enjoyed a varied career in Film, Theatre, Television and Live events.
Siobhan’s Theatre credits include Jekyll and Hyde International Tour, as Resident Choreographer, CATS China & Korean Tour playing the role of Tantomile, Titanic The Musical as Mirella DaMicos, Kiss Me Kate, Cinderella [UK], The Witches of Eastwick, Showboat, Happy Days and The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Siobhan was also involved in successful Australian Tours of Rug Rats Live and Streets Of Dance. She also appeared in the film Bootmen, directed by Dein Perry.
Siobhan was Associate Choreographer for Colors of Malaysia Opening Ceremony in KL 2009, Assistant Choreographer for the Opening & Closing Ceremonies of the 2006 Commonwealth Games., Sandy Lam Live in Hong Kong as well as Deni Hines Live in Australia.
Appearances in Television commercials include Tooheys New, Qantas, Cadbury’s, Smiths and Lorus. Siobhan’s corporate events include Toyota, Johnny Walker, Coke and various Trade Shows as a dancer, singer and also a choreographer.
SVanessa inherited her love of dance studying ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary from the age of 3 and piano from the age of 6. Studying at McDonald College and completing her HSC then continuing in 1996 with a BA in Dance at UWS Nepean.
In 1997 Vanessa travelled to New York and worked with David Parsons Dance Company for a year internship. During this time she also performed as a piano/vocalist in various smaller venues in Manhatten (eg The Kitchen, Le Bar Bat, Eden Lounge).
In 2000/01 Vanessa embarked on an originals music program - VSL "The View From Here". This EP was released to sell out shows in Sydney in 2002 and toured throughout Europe, UK and US in 2003/04.
From 2003-2006 Vanessa choreographed, composed and performed in London. Working in a jazz duo (Too Darn Hot) and creating a show for conferences and events (Cheek To Cheek), in the style of Fred & Ginger.
Now back in Sydney Vanessa is studying a Master of Teaching (Secondary: Music & Dance). In her spare time she teaches at leading studios around Sydney, performs with Dave Anderson original music, directs corporate events and plays and sings jazz.
